The last ticket has been sold, so we’ll be seeing a record 116 players at this year’s event.

If you’ve missed out, but are still interested, please contact the organiser as there will be a waiting list.

With 59 tables of terrain required for the event, I need some help. If you can bring a terrain board please get in touch in advance so I can allocate spaces. It must be fully painted and be suitable for all strategies and deployments.

There will be a mini-raffle for anyone bringing terrain and an award for the best terrain.

Based on the current ticket sales of 108, the limit for the event will now be 116. This is based on the room layout and that some items for the event have to be ordered this week.

The rulespack has been updated to clarify ticket timing, applicable Gaining Grounds, event timing and a few other minor updates.

With 89 tickets sold so far it’s interesting to see where players are coming from compared to last year.

There is a big increase in players from England, reflecting a growth in the game here, but still expecting more players from Scotland & Wales.

Overseas player numbers are down, but still hoping for representatives from Hungary, Finland, France and Norway. All welcome of course.

There is still time to buy your ticket, but I’ll be finalising numbers at the end of September in terms of freebies.

As we approach the end of August we have 70 confirmed attendees, but space for many more. If you are considering attending now would be an excellent time to buy your ticket as increased numbers will enable me to maximise any freebies and also encourages sponsors to be even more generous.

Also a reminder that overseas players are most welcome, and we’ll try to help with transport around Newark over the weekend where we can.

This year’s event will be themed around the Star Theatre in Malifaux, run by Colette Du Bois of course. This will steer the direction of the artwork and freebies on offer, and may even inspire a table.

To make all this work, however, I need you to buy your tickets so I know how many people to plan for, and what budget I have. So if you are planning to attend purchasing your ticket ASAP would be appreciated.

Tickets for this year’s event are now on sale. Ticket price remains at £40 based on last year’s numbers, though hopefully we can sell out this year’s capacity of 128 places and offset any inflation related increases.

Following a successful event at our new venue at Newark Showground, the venue has been rebooked for the 2023 UK Nationals.

You can now pre-register on the new, shiny Bag o Tools 2, the tournament management software we use for our events. This is really helpful as it should speed up the registration activity on Saturday morning helping us keep to a tight schedule. You will firstly need to register on the site, and then for the event.
