I’m pleased to announce that gaming mat supplier Deep Cut Studio will again be supporting the event with prize support and possibly some other custom items.
Many thanks for their support.
This year’s event will be themed around the Star Theatre in Malifaux, run by Colette Du Bois of course. This will steer the direction of the artwork and freebies on offer, and may even inspire a table.
To make all this work, however, I need you to buy your tickets so I know how many people to plan for, and what budget I have. So if you are planning to attend purchasing your ticket ASAP would be appreciated.
Tickets for this year’s event are now on sale. Ticket price remains at £40 based on last year’s numbers, though hopefully we can sell out this year’s capacity of 128 places and offset any inflation related increases.
Details are here.
Following a successful event at our new venue at Newark Showground, the venue has been rebooked for the 2023 UK Nationals.
Put 18/19th November in your diary!
Details and ticket availability will be announced in April.
After 7 rounds of intense, but fun, competition, we have a new champion Radek Bry. The first time anyone has won the Nationals twice.
96 players competed over 2 days and everyone seemed to have a good time. Plenty of socialising between games, and in the evening.
Both the History and Photo Gallery pages have been updated.
You can now pre-register on the new, shiny Bag o Tools 2, the tournament management software we use for our events. This is really helpful as it should speed up the registration activity on Saturday morning helping us keep to a tight schedule. You will firstly need to register on the site, and then for the event.
This website will also be used to display the draw each round, results & table, so please add it to your ‘favourites’.
Bag o Tools has recently undergone a complete refresh, and in addition to a new modern look, allows players to update their profiles and ensure alignment with Malifaux Rankings.
Tables
I’ve spent the last 2 weeks reviewing over 45 tables of terrain to ensure that they meet the highest standards for this premier event, and also the requirements of GG3 as much as possible. In addition, based on feedback from previous events, I have added templates where there are smoke/steam clouds for more accurate gameplay.
Crews
Just another reminder that all models must be fully painted (min. 3 colours) and fixed to bases. New title Masters must be appropriately represented by either the official model or a suitable proxy/conversion (that should be approved by the TO in advance). This also applies to any non-available or non-released model. If in doubt ask!
Nightmare models may represent either Master Title, but not both. Therefore if you are running a Nightmare crew and want to use both titles then you will need to create a proxy for the second title. Here’s my example of Rollins, Tomb Delver – not pretty, but clear and in theme.
